【摘要】:Newpolymermaterialsformalecondomsarebeingdeveloped.Thisstandardisintendedtodescribethetestmethodswhoseresultsshalladequatelydescribethedesignandthequalityofcondomsmadeofpolyurethanematerial.Thesetestmethodsarenotintendedtobedesignrestrictive.Thecondomdesignshallbevalidatedpriortouse.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverandshallbeusedtoevaluatemalecondomsmadeonlyofpolyurethane.Thesetestmethodsalsodescribetheminimuminspectionandqualitylevelsthatshallbeutilizedinrefereetests.Itisnotintendedtobearoutinequalitycontrolspecificationforpolyurethanecondommanufacturingoperations.1.2Thesetestmethodsareintendedtoassistbuyersinobtainingpolyurethanecondomsofconsistentquality.Thesafeandproperuseofpolyurethanecondomsisexcludedfromthescopeofthesetestmethods.1.3Theannexesinthesetestmethodsincludeimportantinformation,suchasthatonapparatusormaterials,thatisamandatorypartofthesetestmethodsbuttoodetailedforinclusioninthemaintext.1.4Theappendixesinthesetestmethodscontaininformationintendedtoprovideguidance.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.A1.1.1Thisannexcoversthemethodfordeterminingthelengthofpolyurethanemalecondoms.A2.1.1Thisappendixcoversthetestmethodfordeterminingthetensilepropertiesofpolyurethanecondoms.Specimenelongationmaybemeasuredbyextensionindicatorsordisplacementofgaugemarks.A4.1.1Experiencehasshownthatthewaterleakagetestismostsensitivewhenthecondomisfilledwhilehangingvertically,itstopisclosedoff,andthecondomisplacedinahorizontalpositionwhileitisexaminedforleaks.Withthistechnique,theinternalpressureovertheentirecondomsurfaceisapproximatelyuniform.X1.1.1Thisappendixcoversthemethodsfordeterminingthethicknessofpolyurethanemalecondoms.X2.1.1Thisappendixoutlinesatestmethodfordeterminingtheburstingvolumeandburstingpressureofpolyurethanecondoms.Thistestmethodispatternedafterstandardmethodstypicallyusedindeterminingtheairinflationpropertiesoflatexcondoms.Thetestingapparatusandtheproceduremaynotbeappropriateforalltypesofpolyurethanematerialsandproductdesigns,and,therefore,itisinappropriatetoestablishaminimumrequirementforvolume.X2.1.2Followingamoreextensivereviewofexistingandproposedpolyurethanecondomproducts,itmaybemoreappropriatetocategorizethemarketedproductsbymaterialtypeanddesign,andtodevelopseparatetestmethodsforeach,afterwhich,appropriateminimumrequirementsforvolumecanbeestablished,consistentwiththephysicalpropertiesoftheindividualmaterialtypes.X3.1.1Thisappendixcoversthetestmethodfordeterminingthestrengthofweldedseamsofpolyurethanecondoms.
